Business Ethics and Good Governance, a subject our entrepreneurs are most interested in were the subject of a two part seminar, courtesy of AMCHAM, held in 2004 with local and US experts, attended by Bukhara, Samarkand and Tashkent tourism entrepreneurs and organized by Emir Travel

The German Government is generously sponsoring a tourism expert to help develop Small Enterprise in Tourism in Bukhara and country wide. Andrea Leuenberger has been actively involved in improving services, infrastructure, graphic design and interiors. She works with hotels, restaurants, crafts masters, bazaar vendors, taxi drivers, volunteers, guides, anyone in anyway related to tourism. Her position has permitted her to advise hundreds of entrepreneurs, both established and beginners

GOETHE INSTITUT TASHKENT
Parallel to the institute's exhibition in Tashkent of designer chair miniatures owned by Vitra Museum, Weil a.Rhein, October 2003, Gothe Institute Tashkent took up the suggestion by Andrea Leuenberger to organize a workshop under the leadership of a European expert during which prototypes of chairs 1:1 would be produced. Several crafts masters from Bukhara attended the workshop. The Association's Interior Design coordinator also attended a 5 day workshop by Goethe Institute Tashkent in October 2004 on the subject of bewusst einfach - das Entstehen einer alternativen Produktkultur which leads to further development of interior items for hotels and restaurants
